Completing a PCB layout is a crucial step, but thorough checking ensures the success of your design. Here are 10 essential checking rules to help you optimize your PCB performance:
Ensure the PCB size matches the desired specifications. Is the layout convenient for manufacturing? Does it include fiducial markings and position holes for alignment?
Confirm that there are no component conflicts in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional views, ensuring all components have sufficient space.
Is the component placement appropriate, with a proper density and orderly arrangement? Are all features completed?
Can frequently replaced components be easily swapped out? Can the PCBA be easily secured into the enclosure?
Is there adequate spacing between thermal-sensitive components and heat-emitting components to prevent overheating issues?
Are components that need adjustment during use conveniently accessible?
For areas that generate heat, is a thermal radiator installed? Is the airflow condition smooth?
Is the signal flow smooth and are the connections as short as possible?
Are the plug and socket designs compliant with other mechanical design rules?
Has interference between lines been considered and addressed?
