ARLON is a professional producer of high-end electronic materials. As a subsidiary of BARICO, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, ARLON boasts one of the most comprehensive product lines in high-frequency PCB materials. Its history dates back to the 1950s when it began developing polyimide and Teflon (PTFE) PCB materials. Over the years, ARLON has expanded its range to include various advanced materials.
The main production bases are located in California and Delaware, USA. With the rapid development of China's electronics industry, ARLON established Long Ya Electronic Materials (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in 2004. This facility enhances the company's ability to efficiently serve Chinese customers. By the end of 2006, ARLON's new production base in Suzhou began operations, further solidifying its presence in China and Asia.
ARLON's products fall into two broad categories:
ARLON offers high-reliable polyimide materials (33N, 35N, 85N) suitable for high-temperature environments and demanding PCB applications such as aerospace equipment, control systems, and semiconductor test aging. These materials feature the highest glass transition temperature (Tg 250°C) and high-temperature pyrolysis (Td 380°C).
The THERMOUNT series (55NT, 55ST, 55RT) provides excellent dimensional stability (CTE), ideal for bare-chip packaging and high-density laser drilling. These materials are perfect for high-reliability electronic products such as high-end packages and navigation systems.
The NO-FLOW series (47N, 49N, 99N) is widely used in automotive and high-power fields due to its heat and cold resistance.
ARLON's thermal conductivity series (99N, 99ML) shows great promise in LED and power supply applications. Recent developments in the 11N material, featuring 220 Tg and 310 Td, offer excellent prospects for high-speed backplanes and mixed-mode microwave communications.
ARLON also specializes in microwave materials with DK values ranging from 2.2 to 10.2. These materials include pure PTFE enhanced with glass cloth or non-woven fiberglass. CLTE, a ceramic powder-filled PTFE, provides outstanding temperature stability, ideal for global satellite communications. Other ceramic powder-filled PTFE dielectrics are widely used in cell phones, antennas, base stations, and wireless broadband Internet systems.
ARLON's unique FOAMCLAD material is designed for base station antennas and RFID applications, offering low cost, minimal loss, and excellent surface characteristics.
