In the production of electronic OEM processing, many different processing techniques are involved, such as PCB manufacturing, SMT chip processing, DIP wave soldering processing, manual welding processing, etc. Generally speaking, wave soldering processing is to use solder wave for soldering, but in addition to wave soldering, there is a welding method for plug-in components, which is called manual welding processing. Next, China Electronics OEM processing factory SYS Electronics will give you a brief introduction to manual welding processing.
1. What is manual welding processing: the operator directly uses an electric soldering iron for welding processing.
2. Why manual welding processing is needed: Because some components in PCBA processing are not suitable for chip processing, nor for wave soldering, they can only be processed by manual soldering.
3. Reasons for manual welding of components:
Component too close to the processing tab edge, or too close to the board edge will encounter the assembly line, which will affect the normal welding.
Special components, such as high-sensitivity components required by customers, cannot be wave soldered.
The height of the component is also specified for wave soldering, if the height of the component is too high, it will also fail to pass the wave soldering.
Components are not resistant to high temperatures. Now lead-free technology is becoming more and more popular. When wave soldering is used, the temperature in the furnace needs to be higher than melting point of lead. Therefore, some components that are not resistant to high temperatures in electronic OEM processing cannot be wave soldered.
In a circuit board, there are a small number of plug-in components on the side of the solder wave. If the number of plug-in components is not large, manual welding processing can be used to improve production efficiency.
