The material quality of the PCB bare board has a great influence on the overall performance of the entire product. The materials of the PCBA bare board mainly include 94HB, 94VO, 22F, CEM-1, CEM-3, FR-4, aluminum based board, FPC, etc. Currently, FR-4, aluminum based board and FPC are the most commonly used PCBA bare boards.
1. FR-4 is an epoxy board with high mechanical and dielectric properties, good heat resistance and moisture resistance, and good machinability.
2. The aluminum based board is a metal-based copper clad laminate with good heat dissipation function. Generally, the single layer is composed of a three-layer structure, which is a circuit layer (copper foil), an insulating layer and a metal base layer. Aluminum based board are commonly used in LED lighting products. There are two sides, the front side and back side. The white side is soldered to the LED pin, and the other side is in the form of the original color of aluminum. It is usually coated with a thermal conductive paste and then in contact with the heat conducting portion.
3. The FPC board is a highly reliable and excellent flexible printed circuit board made of polyimide or polyester film. It has the characteristics of high wiring density, light weight, thin thickness and good bending property. Used in high-end products such as mobile phones and hard drives.
Depending on the product application, the choice of PCBA bare board will be different. Generally, the higher the end product, the higher the PCBA bare board used and the more expensive.
