PCBA processing operation rules

PCBA processing is a high-precision manufacturing process, which has strict requirements on the environment and processing technology of production. If you do not strictly follow the requirements in the actual operation process, mis-operation will occur, which will cause damage to the components and PCBA, especially the integrated IC and other components, which are very easy to be damaged due to the failure of electrostatic safety protection in time. There are mainly the following eight points:

One: During the SMT processing, do not touch the surface of the object to be welded with bare hands or fingers, because human hands will secrete grease, which will affect the weldability and cause welding defects.

Two: Do not use skin-protecting oils to coat hands or various silicone-containing detergents, all of which may cause problems in solderability and adhesion performance of conformal coatings.

Three: The manual operation steps of the components in PCBA processing are reduced to a minimum, and the assembly should be assembled in the area where the gloves are used to prevent danger to components. Contaminated gloves will contaminate PCBA products, therefore, we need to replace the gloves frequently when necessary.

Four: Do not put any food, drink in the work area and no smoking in the work area, and keep the workbench clean and tidy, do not put sundries that are not related to work on workbench.

Five: It is strictly forbidden to stack PCBA because it is very easy to cause physical damage. The assembly workbench should be equipped with various types of special brackets, which are placed according to the type.

Six: Regularly check the EOS/ESD workbench to ensure that it can work normally (anti-static). The various hazards of EOS/ESD components are caused by improper grounding methods or oxides in the ground connection parts. Therefore, special protection should be given to the grounding terminal joints.

Seven: Components or PCBA sensitive to EOS/ESD must be marked with appropriate EOS/ESD marks to avoid confusion with other components. For sensitive components, all operations, assembly, and testing must be performed on a workbench that can control static electricity.

Eight: In the PCBA processing and production process, these operating rules and correct operations should be strictly followed to ensure the quality of the product, reduce the damage of the components, and therefore reduce the cost.
