Aluminum CCL is a metal-based copper clad laminate with good heat dissipation function, which is mostly used in the LED industry. The single-sided aluminum PCB can only be pasted with LEDs on one side, with a single layer of wiring; the double-sided aluminum PCB can be pasted with LEDs on both sides, with two layers of wiring.
1. Compared with the single-sided aluminum PCB, the double-sided aluminum PCB has one more pressing process! So the price is expensive and the craftsmanship is very difficult!
2. The double-sided aluminum PCB needs to be drilled twice. Since it is not easy to directly plate copper on the aluminum surface, it is necessary to drill through the aluminum plate and coat a layer of resin on the aluminum surface.
The specific process: the first drilling of the aluminum base--->pressing (fill the hole with resin)--->the second drilling (concentric circles)--->electroplating
3. Differences in the production process
① Single-sided aluminum CCL: the aluminum plate is pre-treated, then compress with the thermal conductivity insulating layer, and copper foil, after this process, Single side Aluminum CCL is formed.
② Double-sided aluminum CCL: After the aluminum plate is cut, it is pre-treated and insulated in the hole, added double-sided high thermal conductivity insulating layer and double-sided copper foil. After being formed by high temperature and strong pressure, the machined pattern is transferred and then CNC to form a double-sided aluminum substrate.
The above is the difference between single-sided aluminum PCB and double-sided aluminum PCB processing technology.
