According to IPC recently released "2014 World PCB Production Report" estimates, in 2014 the global PCB output value reached $ 60.2 billion, after deducting price factors, the actual growth is 0.7 percentage. PCB growth in China, Thailand and Vietnam make up the decline in most other countries and regions. This report is collaboration of leading analysis team of the Global PCB industry, with accurate research of production and other data, based on the PCB type in main PCB producing countries.
The estimation of 2014 PCB production value is Based on 30 countries and regions, with nine product respective categories.
There are four categories in rigid circuit boards, three categories in flexible circuit boards, and there is also IC substrate PCBs. Also, the standard output of multi-layer rigid PCB is further divided into micro blind via structural and non micro blind via structure. The report also includes metal core PCBs, as well as historical data and trends of PCB production value in various regions.
Data shows that in 2014 the global market, rigid PCB grows slowly; flex PCB is about the same as 2013; slowing growth in China PCB industry, but in Thailand and Vietnam achieve rapid growth.
Ms. Sharon Starr, IPC director of market research, said: "The global PCB production is constantly changing market structure, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea PCB enterprise accounted for more than two-thirds of output value of the global PCB, PCB enterprise growth momentum in Southeast Asian countries is strong.”
