North America PCB industry report in May 2015 On June 29, 2015, IPC - Association of Connecting Electronics Industries released a report on the North American PCB industry for May 2015. The report indicates a 4.2% year-on-year decline in PCB shipments compared to May 2014, and a 3.5% month-over-month drop. However, PCB orders rose 10.4% in May 2015, showing a 1.3% growth year-to-date. According to IPC's market research director Sharon Starr, while sales remain weaker compared to last year, the sustained growth in orders and the healthy Book-to-Bill Ratio over the past eight months suggest stronger sales in the latter half of 2015.
