LED is an eye-catching light source in the 21st century, and it has broad prospects. China LED PCB provider first briefly introduces the development of LED, then analyzes its basic principles, explains the feasibility of using LED as a lighting source for horticulture plant, and finally explains and prospects the market application of LED in greenhouse plant.

The life activities of plants are inseparable from the light, but because of the cover of agricultural film or glass, the light transmittance in the shed is affected, especially if the continuous cloudy day lacks light, it can lead to the decline of photosynthesis. There are two ways to regulate the light environment in the production of greenhouse plants: one is to adjust natural light by hanging reflective curtains, the other is to  select plastic films or glass panels for greenhouse covering materials.

In the field of develop and research for plant-specific LED light source, China has successfully developed a "flexible LED light source system for plant photobiology ", which was named "LEDPlant" and has been successfully applied to the 863 project undertaken by the research team in the experimental study. This is a new type of plant growth supplement light. After application tests, the wavelength of the plant light is very suitable for plant growth, flowering, and fruit. The plant growth light is the world's leading high-precision technology that uses semiconductor lighting principles and is dedicated to the production of flowers and vegetables products, General indoor plants and flowers, always grow worse as time goes on, the main reason is the lack of light irradiation, through the LED lamp suitable for the required spectrum of plants, not only can promote their growth, but also can prolong the flowering period and improve the quality of the flowers,on the one hand, can solve the disadvantages of insufficient sunlight leading to the decline in the taste of greenhouse vegetables such as tomatoes and cucumbers, and on the other hand, it can advance the winter solanum and fruit vegetables to the Spring Festival Before, so as to achieve the off-season cultivation.

After doing detailed research and reading some academic papers, it is proved that LEDs are effective. Generally, LED plant lights emit red and blue light, which are mostly red and then blue, because the photosynthesis of plants is most sensitive to red and blue light. Red light absorbs more, blue light absorbs less. Red light generally promotes the growth of leaves and blue light promotes its blossom. LED lights rely on controlling the ratio of the number of red and blue lamp beads to accurately determine the ratio of red and blue. At present the red-to-blue ratio of LED plant lights on the market ranges from 3:1 to 8:1, and you can also choose to customize. According to the relevant academic papers, the ratio of red to blue light is between 5:1 and 10:1. According to the some seller, they specialize in exporting LED plant lights to the United States. We also investigated and found that there are indeed LED plant lights on eBay that are the same as the domestic seller.
